Here you will find firmware and other files for Qbic products that can be used with Smartsign. If you do not find the correct firmware for your device, please contact Qbic Support.

USB firmware update​

  1. Download firmware
  2. Put the firmware in the root of a USB flash drive. Make sure there are no other ZIP files in the root of the USB flash drive
  3. Plug the USB flash drive into the Qbic device.
  4. On the Qbic device, go to Settings > Firmware update > Firmware update > START FIRMWARE UPDATE

Upgrade from Android 5.1 to 7.1

  • Minimum installed firmware version before upgrading is 1.1.0
  • Upgrade can only be performed locally using USB flash drive.
  • Upgrading to 7.1 clears all user data on the device

The linked image file is prepared to get Android 7.1 including Smartsign customizations in a single upgrade.
The image file is zipped to ensure file integrity during download. Qbic official instructions are included in the archive.
Once unzipped, the image file is ready for use, no need to rename it, just place it on the USB flash drive.
